When Should You Book Your Wedding Dress Alterations?
Plan ahead and book your appointment at least 1.5 months before your wedding.
If you are travelling abroad for your wedding celebration, we recommend allowing at least 1.5 months before the date you leave the UAE.
Wedding dress alterations are not something we recommend leaving until the last few days before your flight or wedding. Depending on the gown and the adjustments required, more than one fitting may be necessary.
Booking early gives us enough time to assess your dress, make the adjustments carefully and ensure that the final result is right for you.
Don't Forget Your Bridal Shoes
One of the most important things to have ready before your wedding dress fitting is your bridal shoes.
Please choose your wedding shoes — including the final heel height — before we adjust the length of your gown.
The length of your wedding dress needs to be measured according to the shoes you will actually wear. A different heel height can significantly change where the hem falls, so we cannot accurately finalise the length without knowing your final shoes.
Bring your wedding shoes to your fitting whenever possible.
This is particularly important for full-length wedding dresses, gowns with trains and dresses with multiple layers of fabric.
Your Bridal Veil May Need Alterations Too
Your wedding dress isn't the only part of your bridal look that may need a little adjustment.
During your appointment, we can also discuss your veil and any alterations or additional details it may require.
For example, you may want to:
